Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the first step in getting my vehicle repaired?
A: If you’re planning on getting the repairs done through an insurance company, you’ll have to make a repairs claim with the company responsible for repairing your vehicle. Most insurance companies will set up an appointment for them to come up with an initial estimate for repairs.
In some cases, we act as Direct Repair Partners (DRP) for the responsible insurance company. This makes things easier for you since you can directly call us for an estimate appointment after making your claim. Please note that the insurance company must assign the work to us before we can do this. You can always check with the insurance company if we’re a DRP for them.
The estimate that you get from the insurance company is what we’ll use for collision repairs for your vehicle. If you’re not using an insurance company, call or visit us to get a FREE scheduled estimate from us.
Q: I got the insurance estimate. What’s next?
A: If you’re planning on getting the repairs done through an insurance company, you’ll have to make sure your insurance company has given you a written estimate and approved it, you can schedule an appointment with us. This would also be a good time to reserve a rental vehicle if you need one.
Then, all you have to do is to bring your vehicle to us, complete the repair authorization form, and you’re done! We’ll take care of everything else.
Q: What are you going to do with my vehicle?
A: After you’ve left your vehicle with us, we’ll tear the damaged area down to check for hidden damage. Now, don’t hit the panic button! We’ll talk to the insurance company to approve the additional (supplement) damages that are not included in the original estimate. Such supplements are quite common in collision repairs.
Q: All that sounds great, but how long will it take to repair my vehicle?
A: That depends on how severe the damage is to your vehicle and the availability of parts. Minor claims to bumpers and small dings usually take from a day to three days. Larger collision claims can take about 5 to 12 working days, and sometimes take about 30 days in some cases.
One thing we can definitely promise you is that we’ll do our best to finish the repairs for your vehicle in the shortest time possible.
Sometimes, we get delayed waiting for insurance supplement approval and / or parts. Please keep in mind that some of these delays are out of our control. We’ll always keep you posted on the progress of the repair work.
